Boya Foundation proudly sponsored the COMMEMORATE 1984 ENVISION 2028 AMERICAN & CHINESE SPORTS FORUM

The Boya Foundation proudly sponsored the Commemorate 1984, Envision 2028: American & Chinese Sports Forum, held on October 15, 2024, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

In 1984, the Los Angeles Summer Olympics marked a milestone as China officially participated with a delegation, opening a pivotal chapter in its Olympic history. Over the last four decades, Chinese athletes have demonstrated resilience and dedication, earning numerous Olympic medals that have captivated global audiences and highlighted China’s significant role in the Olympic movement.

As we approach the 40th anniversary of China’s Olympic return—and with Los Angeles hosting the Games in 1932, 1984, and soon again in 2028—it’s a fitting moment to honor China’s first participation and look forward to the Olympics’ return to LA.

As prominent sporting nations, the U.S. and China can enhance sports exchanges to foster greater friendship. The American Chinese Athlete Association aims to build a bridge of mutual learning and understanding between the sports communities of both nations, contributing to the success of the LA 2028 Olympics.

The China-U.S. Sports Forum will unite experts, scholars, and athletes to celebrate the achievements of the 1984 Olympics while discussing future collaborative opportunities for 2028. The forum will highlight the successes of China-U.S. sports exchanges and explore new avenues for partnership, promoting the mutual growth of sports culture, youth development, competitive athletics, sports technology, and community sports. Through this platform, we aim to deepen sports collaboration between China and the U.S. and jointly contribute to the global advancement of sports.
